Dubai Safari will soon open its doors to public with scores of new animals including a group of moon bears, four African elephants, chimpanzees, otters, a young Komodo dragon, a range of new birds for their aviary and new bird show, an upgraded Adventure Village, a range of new restaurants and kiosks and a new streamlined hop on-hop off bus service that will take visitors to each area of the park and many more attractions. 

The park was scheduled to reopen on October 1. While there has been a delay, the park announced on October 10 that it had decided to do a little more upgrade to create the best experience for everyone.

Whilst the new opening date will be revealed in due course, Rietkerk said members of the public can keep up-to-date on Dubai Safari Park’s enhancements and opening via its website and social media channels.

4. Explore the three themes in three days at the Gulf Car Festival at Dubai Festival City this Novermber

Witness a new car-theme every day, in order to diversify the amusement of motoring enthusiasts and fans. Also, see the exclusive red-carpet car show over all three days of festival.

DAY 1: The launching ceremony on 15th of November will witness some of the best and most unique show-cars getting queued-up, all while welcoming the selected 400 American Muscle cars who will light-up the first-day theme of GCF2018.

DAY 2: With over 400 mix supercars, european and rare classic-cars making a deafening entrance to the event venue. Selected supercars will be unleashed into the Action Arena where the stunt drivers will also perform surprise acts.

DAY 3: Featuring the best of Japanese (JDM), Trucks, Jeeps and Tuners. You may witness a surprise appearance with dual-car stunts along with live demonstrations of customized and modified tuners,with each car ranging over 1,000hp.

The world’s largest indoor theme park is made up of several adventure zones including Marvel, Lost Valley, Cartoon Network among others and other areas for shopping and dining.

7. Discover Old, Present and Future Dubai Galleries at Dubai Frame

Dubai Frame which opened this year hosts Old, Present and Future Dubai galleries, Dubai Frame garden, souvenir shop, 360 degree view of Dubai .

Starting from the mezzanine, the visitors enter to a multimedia exhibition charting the city’s rapid transformation from a fishing village to a thriving modern metropolis, with fascinating insights on Emirati heritage. 3D projections and special effects all contribute to the multi-sensory experience, which brings the sights, sounds and smells of ‘Old Dubai’ to life.

Visitors are then directed to the second experience on the Sky deck level representing the Present Dubai. They experience uninterrupted views of Dubai from all sides, “Old Dubai” to the north, and “New Dubai” to the south. This is supported by interactive applications such as augmented reality activated screens, whereby the visitors can identify different buildings and landmarks, by exploring interesting facts or observing buildings and landmarks in third dimensions. Other technologies are used to represent different aspects of present Dubai, such as architecture, economy and infrastructure.

After exiting the elevator onto the mezzanine floor, visitors pass through a swirl tunnel with special audio and visual effects.

Dubai Frame is open all year round from 9:00 am till 9:00 pm. Admission fees for adults and children (3-12 years old) are AED 50 and AED 20 respectively. Infants, seniors and people of determination accompanied by up to two companions get to explore Dubai Frame galleries free of charge. 

8. Experience the fun and excitement with the Largest Ice Sculpture park in the region at Dubai Garden Glow

One of Dubai’s most magical attractions, Dubai Garden Glow, has just reopened for its fourth season. The illuminated wonderland in Zabeel Park comes to life after dark, lit up with hundreds of spectacular installations. This year’s theme is “Glowing Safari”, with plenty of colourful creatures to admire. Also new this year is an art park, featuring giant masterpieces made from over 500,000 recycled materials such as bottles, CDs, plates and cutlery. The ice park from last year is back, too, with several new ice sculptures to admire.

Within the warm weather and tropical desert climate, the Ice Park takes one into an extremely contrasting and outrageous ambience. The chilling Ice Park has been skillfully created using more than 5000 tons of ice, where in approx. 150 talented artists from all around the world have dedicatedly worked upon the assembly of the icy sculptures – of frozen Glowing Safari having all Wild Animals creating a thrill of an Adventure trip. One cannot be convinced unless having seen and experienced it for real at a temperature that is set at -8 o C.

9. Smell the roses at Dubai Miracle Garden

Another of the city’s top winter attractions, Dubai Miracle Garden, has just opened for its seventh season. The unique outdoor destination, which contains around 100 million blooms, has a new theme every year – this year it’s a reimagined Disney Avenue, where the record-breaking Mickey Mouse sculpture from last year will be joined by some friends. Other new features include a floral castle which houses a garden dining experience, a new amphitheatre for putting on shows, as well as life-sized floral elephants that will spray water from their trunks.
