From January 1, the UAE levied five per cent value-added tax (VAT) on a number of goods and services including theme parks, cinemas, water parks and other activities related to the entertainment industry. Meanwhile, rides and other purchases inside the Global Village are subject to five per cent VAT, Khaleej Times reports.
